Social Media Best Practices-

There are a number ways to best utilize your social media connections on Untappd for Business.

Sharing Beers to Facebook and Twitter-

One way to keep users up to date and interested in your venue is by sharing your beers to Facebook and/or Twitter.

You can do this by selecting the menu and section of the menu that you would like to edit.  

From there, select the beer you would like to share, select the share option at the bottom of the screen, and choose if you would like to share this beer to Facebook and/or Twitter.

Here is example of this beer shared to Facebook.

Creating Social and Menu Announcements-

You can create announcements that will post on your Facebook page and Twitter feed. Announcements are a great way to make sure that your Facebook and Twitter audiences stay up to date on everything happening at your venue . To do this, select the “Social” option located underneath of the “Announcements” heading on left of your screen.


From here, you will be able to choose whether you would like this announcement shared to Facebook and/or Twitter, create the announcement, upload an image or GIF, and choose whether to send the announcement out now, once, or on a weekly recurring basis.

Now: This is for one-time announcements. “We’re closed for the holiday” or “Just received a special delivery of __________ (insert super amazing beer)!”

Once: These are scheduled announcements: “Alpine Tap Takeover Friday 1/6 - 2 limited release kegs will be tapped!!"

Weekly: These are recurring announcements: Firkin Friday, ½ price drafts, or Happy Hour Specials.

You can also create menu announcements that will publish onto your Facebook and website menus. You can do this by selecting the “Menu” option located underneath of the ‘Announcement” heading on the left of your screen. 

From here, you will be able to choose what announcement you will post to this menu, choose to post it to your Facebook and Website menus, and choose to post the events now, once, or on a weekly recurring basis.

Notifying Your Social Media Audience That You are a Verified Venue on Untappd-

To make sure that your Facebook and Twitter audience is up to date on all you have to offer on Untappd

- Create a new post on Facebook and/or Twitter letting customers know you're verified

- Upload the Verified Venue image to said post (Here is a link to our logos https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_OSW93DXqqOiIEmrg-anV7Y2SiXZHk-V)

- Post the URL of your verified venue page on Untappd

- Tell customers to check you out on Untappd/ download the app

 - Post it!

 - Pin the post to the top of your Facebook and/or Twitter feed so it stays up top!
